Celeb Gossiper

Now, I know that celebrities have money to spend (at least most of them do) but do they not realize that we are in a recession? You read about all the shopping sprees that celebrities go on, spending thousands of dollars on clothing and shoes and toys for their kids. I guess it’s good for our economy that the celebrities are still spending their money, until people stop going to see movies because they can’t afford them anymore.

I know that at my local movie theater, it cost $8.75 for one adult ticket to an evening showing of a movie. So, for a couple to go out to the movies on a date, they are almost paying $20 just for the movie tickets. I’m not even going to mention how much the popcorn and pop is at the movies! So, do you think that we will soon be seeing less and less people going to the movies? In my opinion, yes.

So what does that mean for the celebrities? Less movies being made, which means less roles, which means less jobs and money. Some celebrities may want to reconsider just how much money they are spending on their little shopping sprees these days!

With 2008 coming to an end, I thought I would look back at all the celebrity babies that have entered into the world in 2008.

Okay, I know that I may not be in the majority here, but I am so sick of every piece of celebrity news being about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. From their wonderful marriage to all their children and now their Golden Globe nominations. I can understand the news about the Golden Globe nominations, but not every single person that has been nominated for a Golden Globe is being featured on websites and shows.

So, what makes Angelina and Brad so special? To me, when I think about them all I think about is how people how great they are and how great their family is, when actually, Brad cheated on his wife with Angelina. Only weeks after filing for divorce from Jennifer Aniston, Brad got Angie pregnant. They are raising a family together, but they are not married. Why can’t they look towards the thousands of children who need adopted here in the United States before they go to some foreign country to adopt? If Brad is so into New Orleans, adopt a baby from there and not Ethiopia.

Although, I do enjoy Angelina and Brad in most of their movies, I don’t see why they are so revered outside of being good actors. It’s like people are so obsessed with them and they can’t do anything wrong. I guess I just don’t see.

A recent report in the National Enquirer stated that Mary Kate Olsen was pregnant with her first child. According to Olsen’s rep, “Mary-Kate is absolutely not pregnant.”

The National Enquirer reported that Mary Kate was pregnant when supposedly she gained some weight and now weights a whopping 102 pounds. The tabloid claimed that the actress gained weight to hider her pregnancy.

Okay, so this is just ridiculous. Tabloids and gossip magazines belittle Mary Kate Olsen because she is too skinny and she has an eating disorder and how disgustingly gross she looks. Then, the poor girl does some good and gains a couple of pounds and now she has to be pregnant? You have to be kidding me! Leave the poor woman alone. If she is gaining weight then good for her, she is doing the healthy thing. Hopefully she just ignores ignorant rumors like the one in the National Enquirer and continues to do what is healthy for her.

Jennifer Hudson’s brother-in-law, William Balfour was arrested on Monday for the murders of Hudson’s mom, brother, and nephew. Formal charges have not been set against Balfour yet, but he was transferred from an Illinois State prison to police custody. Balfour is currently serving in prison for a parole violation. He has also previously served time in the past for car hijacking and attempted murder.

Balfour had married Jennifer’s sister back in December 2006, but recently had been thrown out of the house due to fights with the family and his wife. He has made threats against the Hudson family when they fought and after he was thrown out of the house.  The police have been looking into him as a suspect and it is believed that with the talks with one of Balfour’s girlfriends police were able to find out what happened with the murders.

I just hope that this guy gets what he deserves and that Jennifer’s family can have peace over the situation.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio as put up his Malibu estate up for sale. The exact listing price of his house: $8,999,000.

The estate features a 2 bedroom, 2 bath main house along with a guest house that has 2 one-bedroom suites. The property is also paparazzi proofed where you can go from the estate to a secluded cove with no one seeing you. It also features a large yard with a 4 car garage.

So, are you willing to pay $9 million to live in Leonardo’s old Malibu home. I know that there are many people that can afford a home like this, but could you just imagine living in a home like that? Especially one that used to be lived in by one of the most popular actors and who knows what he did in it with his girlfriends!

I guess a girl could only dream!
