Celebrities Don’t Realize We Are In a Recession
Now, I know that celebrities have money to spend (at least most of them do) but do they not realize that we are in a recession? You read about all the shopping sprees that celebrities go on, spending thousands of dollars on clothing and shoes and toys for their kids. I guess it’s good for our economy that the celebrities are still spending their money, until people stop going to see movies because they can’t afford them anymore.
I know that at my local movie theater, it cost $8.75 for one adult ticket to an evening showing of a movie. So, for a couple to go out to the movies on a date, they are almost paying $20 just for the movie tickets. I’m not even going to mention how much the popcorn and pop is at the movies! So, do you think that we will soon be seeing less and less people going to the movies? In my opinion, yes.
So what does that mean for the celebrities? Less movies being made, which means less roles, which means less jobs and money. Some celebrities may want to reconsider just how much money they are spending on their little shopping sprees these days!
I think a lot of celebs come from a long line of money. They were taught those habits and I don’t think they’ll stop.
We download most movies off the Internet. Movie going is far too expensive and if we do spend that money we prefer to be able to say go shopping and have a meal instead.
Brad Pitt is one of the few people who cares about the homeless. I think he contributed his time to building for habitat after hurrican Katrina.
