Celeb Gossiper

This may not be the usual clebrity gossip post, but since it is Valentine’s Day, I figured that I would do something a little different. See, my husband was nice enough to buy me flowers today for Valentine’s Day. It’s not a common thing that my husband buys me flowers so it put me in a rather good mood this morning as the flowers were dropped off at the house.

 It got me to thinking though about celebrity couples and how the celebrate Valentine’s Day? Yes, I know I may be obsessed about celebrities sometimes, but it’s just hard for me to imagine Justin Timberlake handing Jessica Biel a bouqet of flowers for a gift. I mean with all the money he has, wouldn’t you think that he would have to buy her the most expensive bouquet along with jewelry, expensive chocolates and dinner at a fanct resturant?

My question is, does it matter how much money is spent on a gift or is really the thought that counts? If your spouse only spent $15 on your for a gift and you spent a couple hundred on them, would that mean they love you more? See, I think that with celebrity couples it would be a constant fight to see who could buy the better gift since they have all that money to spend.

As for me, my flowers are perefect and they are just the right way for my husband to tell me “I love You!” without even speaking a word.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Actress Mira Sorvino has confirmed that she and her husband will be welcoming their third child later this year. Her and her husband, Christopher Backus, already have a 4 year-old daughter named Mattea Angel and a 2 year-old son named Johnny Christopher King. No word when the baby is due right now.

In other celebrity baby news, actor Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine have added another little boy to their family. Hayes Logan Costner was born on February 12, weighing in at 8lbs 15oz. According to a rep for the couple, “Both mother and son are doing well.” Costner had said  that he was naming their son after a cowboy in a western movie he is going to make. This is the couple’s second son together, as they welcomed Cayden Wyatt in to the world back in May 2007. Costner has other older children from a previous marriage.

Every magazine, tabloid and online entertainment source has at least 10 articles about Jessica Simpson’s weight. Who cares if Kim Kardashian is coming to the rescue of Jessica or if Ken Paves is protecting Jessica. It’s ridiculous how many stories and articles there on her weight and who is coming to her aid and what she said last night at her concert.

So what, she has gained some weight. She is not the first celebrity this has happened to. In fact, this is not the first time it has happened to her. Remember when she was dating John Mayer and there was reports of her gaining weight while with him? Why is it that every entertainment source has to keep bringing it up. Let it go. It’s done and it’ over-played. Stop asking other celebrities what they think about Jessica Simpson’s weight or what she wore or how she is dealing with it. No one cares anymore! These entertainment sources need to realize that we don’t want to see 10 articles about Jessica Simpson’s weight.

 So, who else is with me on this one? I could stand to not hear about Jessica Simpson for the next 6 months now and be happy, but you know that in about a month the tabloids will have back on the covers saying how she lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks or something ridiculous like that!

It appears that Brad Paisley is nominated for every possible award he can be (he can’t be nominated for a female award!) I like Brad’s music and it seems he wins every year. I ‘m routing for him, Carrie and Taylor as I like the younger generation of music.

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson seem to have rekindled their relationship and are dating once again. The couple spent the weekend together at Hudson’s home in Malibu. A source claims that the couple is back together.

The duo originally started dating back in 2006 when they filmed the movie You, Me and Dupree. They broke it off later the next year in 2007.  Hudson and Wilson remained friends though. The couple first reunited back in February 2008 but then again broke it off in summer of 2008. The couple went through a really bad breakup the second time around.

Hudson had been linked to Lance Armstrong in between dating Owen Wilson, while Wilson was linked to a couple different unknown woman.

I always wonder why couples do this? If it didn’t work the first two times, you think it is going to work the third time? Poor Ryder (Hudson’s son) that he has to deal with this also. He probably gets used to having this guy around and then Bam! he’s gone again. We’ll have to wait and see how long this go around last for them.

According to reports from Access Hollywood, Usher’s wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, was off in Brazil getting some kind of plastic surgery done and she suffered serious complications from the surgery. Last night, Usher cancelled his performance at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis’s Pre-Grammy Gala. Davis went on to say that Usher was dealing with a “serious injury in the family.”

 Tameka and Usher have been married since August 2007 and they have two children together.  Foster just gave birth  2 months ago in December to their second son. She also has 3 children from a previous relationship that she had.

So, I am wondering why she went to Brazil for her plastic surgery? Why couldn’t she just have her surgery done here in the United States? What kind of plastic surgery was it that she had to go to Brazil or did she just not want anybody to know that she was getting plastic surgery. Is this what most celebrity people do? Go to other countries for plastic surgery to hide it? If I had to guess, I would say that she had a tummy tuck after having 5 kids.

Anyways, I really do hope she is okay and this might be a wake up call to other celebrities about getting plastic surgery in other countries or getting plastic surgery at all.

There have been rumors swirling that Paul Walker is engaged to his barely legal girlfriend, Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, who is 19 years old. Well, reps for Paul Walker are setting the record straight. “Paul is not engaged to a teenage girl,” an insider said. Not yet, anyways.

But… Star Magazine is reporting that Walker has been dating Pilchard-Gosnell since she was 16 years old. “Their age difference doesn’t scare him,” a source said.  “He knows she’s the one.”

Paul Walker is 35 years old, which means he was 32 when he was dating a 16 year old girl. Could you imagine if you went to high school with this girl and she was bringing Paul Walker around to the prom or to parties. To me, this is just wrong, especially if they were dating when she was a minor. What would a gorgeous man like Paul Walker see in a 16 year old teenage girl?

All you fans of Carrie Bradshaw can now celebrate again. There is going to be another Sex and the City movie on the big screen. The sequel will bring back all the girls: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, and Cynthia Nixon.  The movie will start shooting this summer and can expect to be released in summer of 2010.

A couple months back Kim Cattrall had let it out the bag that  there was was going to be a Sex and the City sequel. After that it was made known that it was still in the works and no contracts had been signed yet. Well, it is official as the girls have signed on and director Micheal Patrick King is also back.

I wonder if they are going to far with the Sex and the City sequel? I know that the first movie made a lot of money and was hugely popular, but you know how sequels can sometimes ruin things. Should they have just stopped at the first Sex and the City movie? What do you think? Are you going to see the sequel next year?

Katrina Darrell, aka, “Bikini Girl” got the axe from American Idol last night. As you all remember, Darrell showed up at the auditions for American Idol sporting a little bikini and high heels. She was passed on to Hollywood, but not because Paula Abdul or Kara DioGuardi wanted her to be. Both the woman complained that Simon and Randy only put her through to Hollywood because of the way she was dressed and not because of her singing ability.

It seems that DioGuardi got the last word in on this fight. Darrell was voted off American Idol after she sabotaged her partner’s performance for the auditions. She went to bed early and woke up late, leaving little time for the group to rehearse. She also gave the judges attitude during the audition, which did not sit well with DioGuardi at all. After Darrell got voted off the show, DioGuardi proceeded to call her a Bi–h.

There have also been new photos of Darrell that surfaced of her modeling skimpy bikinis on the internet. So, my guess is this girl just wanted attention and that is what she got. She just wanted to stand out on the show because she knew that she couldn’t sing well. Next thing you know she will be posing in Playboy and living with Hefner at the mansion as a girlfriend!
